We have recently shipped a graphical tool to simply the servers management in AMP & APP Stacks for Linux, OS X and Windows. The BitNami Manager Tool is a simple graphical interface that can start and stop the BitNami servers that are located in the same installation directory. We have recently upgraded all of our PHP stacks to support native Linux 64bit installations (without the need to install compatibility libraries). We have just done the same for our popular Ruby on Rails stack, RubyStack

We have just released LAMP Stacks (Apache, MySQL and PHP) and LAPP Stacks (Apache, PostgreSQL and PHP) for Linux 64 bits. You can download and install these Stacks for any Linux 64 bits distribution. These Stacks are self-contained and independent of your system, very useful for PHP developers. Currently you can deploy all BitNami Linux Stacks in a 64 bits Linux system but it was necessary to install the compatibility libraries. We’re happy to announce that all of the BitNami PHP-based development stacks have been updated to include PHP 5.3 support. This include both the MySQL-based and PostgreSQL-based stacks. In addition to an updated PHP version, we include the latest release of phpMyAdmin, PEAR components and related libraries, including the much requested mcrypt extension.
