Updated BitNami Stacks for SugarCRM, Drupal, Redmine and Alfresco Released!

We’re happy to announce the release of updated BitNami Stacks for SugarCRM, Drupal, Redmine and Alfresco. As with all BitNami Stacks, these new releases are freely available as native installers, for installation on desktops or servers, virtual appliances, which can be run in VMWare and Virtualbox, and as cloud images for Amazon EC2 (AMIs) and GoGrid (GSIs). New Kademar Linux - Joomla! distro based on BitNami Stack

The Kademar team has just released a new Linux distribution based on Kademar Leo 4.9.1 and BitNami Stack for Joomla!. This distribution was released on Joomla!Day 2009 in Barcelona where it got a warm welcome. It lets you work in a Live-CD or boot from a USB. An indispensable tool for teachers who want to teach the operation of Joomla! Content Management System or for testing before changing something on your website. It also shipped a new "BitNami Controller" to manage the servers with a simple click.

There is a great post up on Techsnot (yes, a somewhat unfortunate name :) on how to install Wordpress on a Mac in under 5 minutes using the BitNami Wordpress Stack. Although the author (‘dogsnot’) installs the Stack on a Mac, the steps are the same on Windows or Linux. In a future article, the author will explain how BitNami Modules work. We are glad to announce that we have released a PostgreSQL module which you can install over LAMPStack, MAMPStack, WAMPStack or RubyStack.
