Hi all,
I’m fairly new to this area but I can get around.

first kudos to bitnami
I’ve loaded bitnami stacks in the past with no problems at all (under Ubuntu 7.x). Some of the best things out there on the net. Thanks for doing the work.

my problem
I’m currently trying to install LAMP stack and mediawiki module on Ubuntu 8.x 64 and 32 bit systems. I down load the bin. I chmod 755 it. I run it ./<stack>.bin. Nothing happens. I try sudo ./<stack>.bin. Nothing happens. It just returns the command line. I can’t find a log file anywhere that may be indicating what is going on or not going on. I tried—mode text.

Hi,

Probably the downloaded files are corrupt. Could you check the following md5 with the command “md5sum file”?

14cbd1f8b8f20bef1f9feccd26c30f24 bitnami-mediawiki-1.12.0-0-module-linux-installer.bin
ccb7ac604603e85301b6ec3fc4f8352f bitnami-lampstack-1.0-beta-3-linux-installer.bin

Cheers

the md5 is off. I also needed the ia32-libs on the 64bit os once I downloaded it again. Thank you
