OpenOffice

I need it for the pdf translations, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Need some help figuring out the problem…There’s nothing in the alfresco log. Thanks

Can you give a little bit more information?

What platform are you using?
Can you see the soffice.bin binary running?

Sure. I’m running it on centos 5. When i start up it says openoffice started, but when i shut down it says it isn’t running. I verified that the process isn’t running after startup.
Also, this last time, the alfresco.log said it couldn’t connect to openoffice – not surprising since the process doesn’t run.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot it not running? Thanks for the help.

Does your Centos have an X server installed?
If so, then you should enable XVFB in installdir/ctlscript.sh and try again.
