I have errors when trying to install the moodle package for MacOS (intel proc).
Near the end of the install process, it throws up this error:

mysql/my.cnf is ignored **For screenshot, see here: http://twitpic.com/4nbp

Should I be changing the hostname?
Should I specify a certain port? (I don’t believe it asked me for a port on this most recent attempt, though I think it did on a previous attempt).

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi,

Seems like a permission issue (world writable file is ignored). We haven’t tried such a thing (installing to an USB drive), because it is not currently supported. The installation path is a very important factor with BitNami, and the application won’t work if you change it (for example, by using the USB in another computer, with another path).

Cheers

Hi,

It has to do with the filesystem in the USB being case-insensitive and MySQL complaining about it (is it FAT32?). Would it be possible to reformat it using OS X filesystem with the option to be case sensitive?

Cheers

Daniel
