At the end of the installer process i get the following error on mac os x :

Error running /Applications/djangostack-1.0-0/ctlscript.sh restart apache : httpd: could not open document config file /Applications/djangostack-1.0-0/django/conf/django.conf

The installer exits after that.

Upon close inspection the directory /Applications/djangostack-1.0-0/django/conf/ contains one file, named NOTEMPTY.

any clue what went wrong?

Hi,

I’ve been able to reproduce it, it seems to be happening only with MySQL, not SQLite. Let us investigate the issue and we will release a new version as soon as we fix it.

Cheers

I’ve just downloaded the Django stack and failed to install it on a Powerbook running an up-to-date 10.5.3. It gets as far as “Select folder” and then, on hitting “Next”, results in an additional dialogue box, above the exiting one, reading: “Unable to execute validation programme”.

Any hints?

Hi Graham,

It is a strage error. Thanks for reporting it and we are glad that a reboot solved your problem :)
