Liferay portlet modifications

I want to increase the maximimum size allowed for upload in the document library. All documentation at Liferay indicates that I need to modify the portal-ext.properties file however, there seems to be a lot of information missing from the bitnami version of the file. How can I do this?

This file only includes variables that you want to modify, for example the default context, the default data directory path, etc. You can modify this file to change the file size to upload. Could you post the link where you have seen this modification?
