I have a problem installing bitnami Alfresco 3.0 in Ubuntu. I have downloaded the bitnami file several times, check the md5sum, and everything is ok. When I try to run it gives me this message:
Installer payload initialization failed. This is likely due to an incomplete or corrupt downloaded file.
What I’m I doing wrong??

Hi,

I have checked th binary and it runs well. The md5sum is:

cef51b8eee4c2450f4564cd2d8d779c8 bitnami-alfresco-3.0-0-linux-installer.bin

Could you check the md5sum? What is your Ubuntu version? Is a 64 bits distribution?

Cheers.

I had already checked the md5sum and is always ok.
After I have searched a bit in the internet I think I have an answer. I was trying to run the installer in a directory with spaces and accents. When I move the file to another directory it works.
I I’m using Ubuntu 8.10. In portuguese the desktop directory is “Área de Trabalho”.
I think you could try do confirm this and put some information in the readme.txt
