CIFS/SMB access on SME Server 7.4
I’ve installed the Alfresco 3.0-2 binary on my test SME Server 7.4 box (based on CentOS 4.7). The installation went fine (after I renamed the /etc/redhat-release file) and I have access through the Web. I also have WebDAV access on my Mac, and have copied files successfully into Alfresco. What I don’t have is SMB/CIFS access from OS X or Windows. Windows can’t see the share, either using \\servername\alfresco or \\servernamea\alfresco. I also have a native 3.2 installation on a CentOS 5 VM – \\servernamea\alfresco works fine from there, so it appears as if the issue is either the 3.0-2 config or something related to the platform. I’ve checked the settings (all default) and as expected CIFS is enabled. I’d appreciate any ideas or suggestions. I don’t see anything in catalina.out when I try to connect. Windows returns “Cannot find \servernamea\alfresco”. Finally, is there a release schedule for Bitnami stacks? I was wondering when Alfresco will be brought to the current native version. Many thanks, Des |

Hi, We will try to reproduce on our side, it seems a SMB problem. We do not have any release schedule but we try to have all stacks updated. Alfresco is not easy to update so it will take more time. |
