Hi!

I’m using your Alfresco stack and almost everything works fine. :-)

But the conversion of Office 2007 documents doesn’t work at all and I think the problem is the OpenOffice.org version provided. Support for Office 2007 started on OOo 3.0, I think.

I know you’re working on a new Alfresco stack with some bugs addressed and the SWF Tools installed. Could it include OOo 3 or 3.1? Will it include Alfresco Labs 3.2?

Thanks in advance,
Francisco

Hi Francisco,

Thanks for your suggestion. I added it in our TODO list. I think it is not so difficult so we will try to update it when we have a chance.

Hi!

Are there any news about the release date of the Alfresco 3.2 stack?

Thank you!
Francisco

Sorry, currently we are concentrating our efforts to new features in BitNami. We will increase the priority of this upgrade.

Hi beltran

The new Alfresco release is a huge improvement over the current bitnami stack version…

1> MAPI access from outlook etc., documents /emails can be drawn or sent direcly to Alfresco – this will increase the attractiveness of Bitnami stacks for all users who are just waiting to get this feature.

2> Office 2007 documents conversion as stated above.

3> Iphone client – Zia Consulting has developed a iphone client “Fresh Docs” which only works with the latest version – this application is free, and millions of iphone users will potentially be able to use your stack to access documents through iphone.

If a new stack is released it has the potential to bring many more users (Iphone/Outlook) to the bitnami fold. Also it has been a long time since the last release…

Thanks

Rajesh

PS: Have been using the current stack and it awesome… Thanks
