what does everyone think of this?

I think it’s a great idea.

Hi, name’s Kreig. I came here after casting about for a re/solution to a simple issue: WordPress hosted on the dreaded shared hosting—oh how 2002. I have a DreamHost account but I have no love for them—especially when their sophomoric blogs rub my face in how “easy” their jobs are and how they make money without trying. Ahem.

My specific interest was S3/EC2 based—hence why I came here thanks to Google; but if you’re planning on moving into this direction then by all means: do it! There is no “market leader” in cloud hosting, although everyone understands how right it is. I myself represent a consumer-level opinion—and there’s every reason to want to do this sort of thing. With all the work you’ve done on virtual machines for AWS you obviously have the acumen—trust me, I knows when I sees it (which is why I’m here now). Now you just need to spin the strategy right, and package it well. One company which is (mostly) doing it right which I see is DropBox, providing a simple front-end on S3 storage—not bad (although I dislike their spam-like propagation strategy; they need intelligent marketing).

It’s hard to discern the shape of your organization but you seem homespun and tightknit. which is a good thing. Moreover the fact that you want to offer multiple cloud hosting providers is even better—this leaves people free to choose the appropriate underlying host for whichever reason.

Anyways: landscape appraisal, I like what I see here—especially technically.

Let me know if you need any West Coast-based help. :D

Hi Kreig, thanks a lot for the feedback and support. We have put a lot of effort on our Cloud offering and we have a lot of things in store :)
