When will the installer be updated for the latest DokuWiki release?

A new release candidate came out on 4-11-08. Do we need a new BitNami stack to make everything work properly or can we get away with just dumping the new dokuwiki version in the appropriate folder and copy our page and media files back in?

Thank God! Tried upgrading my test system manually and it sharted all over itself.

So I trust that importing my data should just be a matter of copying over the contents of apps/dokuwiki/htdocs/data to the new install?

I just released the new version

Just installed, works fine right out of the box. So, at this point, how do I migrate my data from the old one to the new one? i copied over the data folder and it tells me it can’t find the attic. I rename the copied data folder to “data_new,” rename the original back to “data”, everything works again.

In summary, copy the old apps/dokuwiki/htdocs in the proper place of the new installation. Do not cut and paste, copy it (just in case). It should be working by then, so test the new installation with the old data and uninstall the previous version if you want :)

Looks like they have another release. Should we even try to manually upgrade with this incremental changes or should we always swap out the full bitnami stack?
