login problem

i downloaded the bitnami drupal stack for mac x86 on my macbook pro…when the startup site pulls up, it gives me the normal directions, to log in and then go to the administration site. when i try to login with the info i typed in during installation, it refreshes the screen but doesn’t lead me anywhere different. i’ve tried all different permutations of login, tried to have them send me both my username and my password to my e-mail, all to no avail. the site is completely unresponsive. What is going on? note: i had a site run on drupal about two years ago (it was pc-based)…maybe there is some conflict with the login? i’d like to start all over again with my username and password to use this drupal. and i can’t even get past the first step after installation! please help…

It is strange, the default administrator user is “user” and the password is the same that you set during the installation.

I am having this same problem.

I typed in “user” for the user name and the password I entered during installation but I still cannot get through the administrator site.
