Are the stacks upgradable?

Hi,

In a normal Linux distribution applications are upgradable from the distribution’s repository. In the bitnami stacks I could not find anything like security updates say for mysql. Am I wrong?

Hi,

Sorry, BitNami Stacks don’t support upgrades currently. Security updates are applied regularly to the Stacks. However, you should install (in a different folder to preserve your old data) and copy the apps and restore the databases manually.
