Can't connect to mysql, Help....

I’am try install bitnami drupal in windows xp and get message :

Error running C:\program files\Bitnami drupal stack/mysql/script/myscript.bat GENERAL : ERROR 2C03 (HY000): can’t connect to mysql server on ‘localhost’ (10061)
ERROR 2003 (HY000)can’t connect to mysql server on ‘localhost’ (10061)

How the solution my problem ? thanks (sorry for bad english)

The same message I get while I installing bitnami-moodle and bitnami-mantis to my computer…but while I try instal to other computer in my school…not error hapenned.

Is it possible that you have a firewall enabled? Maybe your firewall doesn’t let to MySQL start correctly.

I encountered the same errors (and many others) on my WinXP installation.

The problem seems to be due to the spaces in the default installation path:
“C:\Program Files\Bitnami Redmine Stack”

I uninstalled and retried with a different installation path, this time without any spaces (“C:\Redmine”); it worked.
