configuring mysql and apache in second stack
Hello. Thank you for providing these excellent, easy to install stacks and great support! I have a local joomla stack installed and running sweetly. I tried to install a separate wordpress stack but got three errors – two from mysql and one from apache. I imagine this is because apache is already bound to port 3360. Is there documentation that can guide me through configuring the wordpress stack mysql and apache so the two stacks can run locally? Many thanks. |

Hi, What are the exact errors? If you have a Stack installed and running, the second Stack will asks to the user a new port for MySQL and Apache. If you set a different port, 3307 for exampl, the installation continues and you have two Stacks in the same system. If you prefer to have only one Apache server and one MySQL Server you can install the BitNami LAMP/WAMP or MAMP Stack and then install over it the Joomla! and Wordpress modules. You can find more info about the installation in the README files in the downloads page. Cheers. |

Hi beltran. Thank you for your quick response. For information purposes, the errors in order of appearance were: Program Files\Bitnami Wordpress Stack/mysql/scripts/myscript.bat mypassword Program Files\Bitnami Wordpress Stack\mysql\bin\mysqldamin.exe —defaults-file= C:\PROGRA ~1\BITNAM ~1\mysql\my.ini -u root —password=mypassword shutdown []C:\PROGRA ~1\BITNAM ~1\mysql\bin\MYSQLA ~1 EXE:connect to server at ‘localhost’ failed error: Access denied for user ’root’@’localhost’ ‘(using password:YES)’ unable to install Apache with name WordpressApache1 I am a beginner, so for now, will adopt your suggestion to install the WAMP stack and add the two modules. Once again, many thanks. |
