I am new in ROR and Django and i want to learn both, can i install both in one PC, If Yes than please tell me friend how…

Hi,

Sure, you can install both Stacks in your computer. They are totally independent, you only need to download RubyStack and DjangoStack and install them in your computer.

Hi,

Thanks dear Admin. Tell me more, Both stack have PHP, Apache, MySQL and phpMyadmin. I am worry about Duplication of these programs and can i install any thing from scratch in these frameworks. Example: i want to install RadRails and one of CMS on RubyonRails, and i want to install django-cms in Django Framework, is it possible with your Stacks. If Yes it’s very good for me other newbies.

Hi,

Currently RubyStack includes Ruby On Rails, Apache, MySQL, PHP (optional) and other packages . You can install over the RubyStack any BitNami module or you can deploy your Ruby On Rails application.

The DjangoStack ships Python, Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Django and other dependencies . You can deploy django-cms or any other Django application.

If you install both of them you will have two MySQL databases and two Apache servers but there are totally independent.
