Hi.
I tried installting the redmine stack for unix machine (hosted), but dreamhost keeps killing the process cause it uses too much resources.
Is there anyway to overcome this?

Later, I tried installating it on windows (worked great), yet the redmine installation under local host in completly unconfigurable on it’s IT. (the poer numbers oin the readme file are incorrect)
meaning, there’s no apache access etc.
How can I make my localhost accessable from the internet through my local host without the usual windows control panels?

thanks.

Yes, you can install the Stack in a Linux machine (any distribution) and then stop the servers and create a tarball with the installation directory. You only have to copy this tarball to your host machine and uncompress it in the same location.

You have to configure your router machine to open the web port. This post could be helpful for you: http://bitnami.org/article/how-to-install-and-m…
