Cannot import files into template (OSX.5)
|
|
For some reason I cannot import any files into my articles (jpg, png, etc). when I try I get the following error: Failed to Connect Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.0.187. Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.
I can see and import them using the media manager under the site menu option, but they are unavailable to use inside the template itself (Rockettheme Mynxx template). Specifically I’m trying to add pictures to an article and I cannot seem to access anything off the hard drive(s). |

Joomla requires to set your IP during the installation. If this IP has changed probably you should change a Joomla! setting in the administration panel. Could you run “ifconfig” in a OS X Terminal to check if your IP has changed? Cheers. |

I ran the ifconfig and somewhere in that jumble of greek I see the same IP address as listed in the message above. I did find a workaround to get the files to where I can access them by moving a copy into the “joomla1.5.9-0/apps/joomla/htdocs/images/stories” folder Once there they work fine. Although it would be nice to simply be able to navigate to where they are located on my hard drive and they tend to be scattered around. |

Could you post the apache2/logs/error_log file latest entries? |

I think this is the specific error you’re looking for: Tue Apr 21 11:11:17 2009 [client 192.168.0.187] File does not exist: /Applications/joomla-1.5.9-0/apps/joomla/htdocs/components/com_virtuemart, referer: http://192.168.0.187:8080/joomla/index.php/products/roll-up-banner-stands Also note that I was incorrect in where I moved the files to to access them. I have edited my post above with the correct info to eliminate any confusion in case someone else searches for a similar fix. |
