http 500 error

I am using the current version of MAMP with wordpress 2.7.1 module. The server seems not quite responsive and I get the http 500 error frequently. Do you have any idea?

It seems a memory issue. Could you post your current RAM memory, your OS X version and the swap memory? It would be also useful the header information of the “top” command.

You can try to increase the PHP memory limit in the <instaldir>/php/etc/php.ini file:

I’m not sure. It seems a memory issue and this error is difficult to be produced by a php code (if this error is due a wrong php code, this issue will be a security error). So I do not think so.

Yes I agree with your observation. It seems it breaks into the memory allocation which very likely to be a security issue. Anything I can do?

Mmmm Could you check if you can see the same error using other BitNami Stack (which use PHP)? If you can not reproduce this issue it is probably that this error is due to a wordpress issue. If you can reproduce it probably you need to check it your RAM or increase it.

I guess this is an issue related to the PHP written by wordpress extensions such as theme. When I use some complex themes, this kind of error happened again. If I use the basic theme provided by wordpress, it seems OK.
