Catpcha and Avatars not working
|
|
Alright, I saw one forum post about Capcha not working but I’m not sure if it’s been fixed or not and that was several months ago. What I have is here: http://guide.ncat.edu Capcha isn’t showing up for user registration so I disabled it to allow my other admin to register. She uploaded an avatar, it’s uploaded correctly to the folder, it gave no error when uploading, but the avatar does not show up on any of her posts, just nothing as if she never added an avatar. It doesn’t even show the X for a broken image. Help/Suggestions, something I need to configure that I don’t know about? Also, small question, I think I saw this on the install of the LAMP stack…does the LAMP Stack run ImageMagick? |

Oh a quick side note, I did do a suggestion from the other post and attempted to do just a raw capcha generation with: http://guide.ncat.edu/capcha.php As you can see it worked, so the problem has to be with just PhpBB though what the problem is I have no clue. |

Yes, I was investigating a bit and it seems that phpBB captcha will be changed on 5.0.6 (next release).
Yes, you can install the LAMP Stack (which includes ImageMagick) and then you can install the phpBB module. We will try to investigate further on this issue. Anyway there are more captcha plugins for phpBB so you can try to install them. Cheers. |

This info could be helpful for you. It seems tha CATPCHA support is new in 3.0.5 version and it will be totally different for 3.0.6 version. |
