'403 Forbidden' Permission Denied Error in Ubuntu 9.04

Hi. I hope you will be fine.
I have successfully installed the rubystack in ubuntu 9.04 but when I place my *.html or *.php files in the apache2/htdocs/ folder and try to access them in the web browser it display error saying ‘Permission Denied on this server’.

Have you installed as a regular user or as root user. In the first case the document owner should be the same user that installed the Rubystack. If you have installed as root user you should change the file user to “daemon”. I hope it helps
