This stack would be incredibly useful to many of us. When is this planned?

Hi,

This Stack is in our TODO list but we have other tasks which have more priority. We will let you know when we will work on this.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Of course, this might be the most needed stack, ever. There are serveral lamp, xamp, mamp, wamp stacks out there, but noone including postgres and mysql together. Most Developers start using mysql when starting database development, and most php apps outthere are mysql driven, but if you have some timecritical apps, in development where you do need real transactions with other benefits and also might need a procedural database language, you quite also need postgresql on your development Platform. But one question, shouldn’t it be easy, to extend the lamp folder with the postgres relatetd folders from the lapp folder and set some variabbles inside apache.conf and the ctlscript to have both databases running under one instance of the lamp/lapp stack?

Hi,

I’m glad to tell you that we have released a PostgreSQL module (http://bitnami.org/stack/postgresql) that you can install over the LAMPStack, MAMPStack, WAMPStack or RubyStack. This module ships and configure PostgreSQL database server and phpPgAdmin application to handle the administration of PostgreSQL over the Web. I hope it would be helpful for you :)
