What about one stack containing Apache, MySQL, Postres, PHP, Ruby and all applications you currently offer? These apps takes very little space so it really wouln’t hurt anyone to have them all in one package, and on the other hand, one would get stack for everything (even to compare and evaluate apps in the same category).

On second thought, during installation there could be a list with checkboxes which software one want to be installed, if both databases, further option asking which database should be used as default.

Or just provide server enviroment and give ability to add/remove apps via web interface.

Does it makes any sense or I should shut up?

Thanks for your suggestion.

Yes you are right, we are concentrating our efforts to create a similar structure that you suggest.

Cheers

Glad to hear that, it would make killer setup.

It makes sense from your point of view, to maintain one package (per platform) rather than dozens, not to mention user convenience.

Thanks!
