Best way to take a Bitnami Wordpress module live?
|

I’ve built a Wordpress site using Bitnami’s MAMP stack and Wordpress module. What is the best way to take this site live? I’ll need to have all the links and stuff that point to 127.0.0.1:8080/wordpress to servername.com/ |

Hi, We have recently written this post which explains how to make public any BitNami Stack. I’m sure that it would be helpful for you. Cheers. |

Hi, I have a host that I would like to use and bandwidth in South Africa is expensive so hosting locally, as I think the example is putting forward is not practical for me. Can I use FTP to upload the files from the bitnami htdocs folder to the hosted space or is there another simple way for me to update my site on the server? Thank you. |

Hi Garrick. If you have a hosting sith ssh access and you can run commands, you can install the Stack in the hosting. If you have a hosting with PHP, Apache and MySQL pre-installed and you only have FTP access you can upload the wordpress files but you will have to configure manually the database. |
