i couldn’t get how to modify the proxy configuration ….. well you mean in , httpd.confg ??
i wonder how did you ( the team )make the stack for windows and you said ” maybe ” ??!

please , if any one of you could tell where is the “proxy configurations” and what to modify ?
and where i’ll find ” .htaccess” after all

.... and if i’m using linux or OS X i think i’ll go to “Phusion Passenger” and just stick with apache with any Monrgel …. but there is no textmate alike for linux and still don’t have a Mac …..

so why it seems that you don’t really care with windows users …. , my case not depend on any way of installation or another version of apache !!! , it’s a static case ….. !!!

ok , thanks for response , but, unfortunately it’s still inactive after configuring apache !!
what i did are :

- in httpd.config :

1. AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
2. It can be “All”, “None”, or any combination of the keywords:
3. Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit # AllowOverride All

1. Controls who can get stuff from this server. # Order allow,deny Allow from all

—-—-—-—-—-— and:

1. The following lines prevent .htaccess and .htpasswd files from being
2. viewed by Web clients. #
   <filesmatch> Order allow,deny allow from all Satisfy All
   </filesmatch>

and restart Mongrel and go the default app “rubystack” > public > ...?? then there’s no ”.htaccess”

i don’t know what’s wrong ?? should i creat a new app ??

while using WAMP , .htacces was there by default …

please give me details as possible , thanks again .

i can’t find ”.htaccess” in win 7 ??!!

it’s build 7057 .
and i won’t use linux , because i’m using e-texteditor , till getting a mac to use texemate .
so , please don’t just say , use UBUNTU , because we use it ….

i think powershell is already coming with vista or at least with vista sp1 .
or you can install it on vista and tell me ….. please , if you can :)
i think many many people will use it if they know it works ….

i just wan’t to use powershell over cmd in all my working with ruby from the command line ….. but it seems that i can’t
i think if i use it it will be the same way as in linux or osx , right ?

and if any one could help me could help me to replace cmd.exe with powershell …....

after installing rubystack with vista ro xp has WAMP installed , the ruby command window open after closing the report.txt file …...
and start the service ….. and every thing is work …. then i press ctrl+c to stop it ….....................

i tried many times to start the stack from the batch or from the start menu …... but the command window just open and closed instantly ….......!!!!

what can i do …..?
