Topic: WAMPStack / where is mod_php? Hello. I have been using a Bitnami WAMP stack to learn how to build a Wordpress site locally. Thank you everyone involved in Bitnami for such an excellent, easy to use set of resources!! I am trying to get my head around what does what and where it is. Looking through the WAMP stack files, I cannot see mod_php listed anywhere. In the Apache folder I found the cgi-bin folder and a file called php-cgi.exe. Does this mean the php is running through CGI? From what I have read, php_mod is faster. Thanks for your help. |

Topic: Articles / BitNami Modules Hi beltran. I just installed the WAMP stack and then the Joomla module. Is there a default Joomla administrator username and password? I did not see a field to enter a preference during installation. I will also be installing the Wordpress module – is there a default administrator username and password for that application? I read the README instructions with the WAMP stack, but did not see any relevant information there. The Joomla module does not appear to have any instructions included. Many thanks. |

Topic: General / configuring mysql and apache in second stack Hi beltran. Thank you for your quick response. For information purposes, the errors in order of appearance were: Program Files\Bitnami Wordpress Stack/mysql/scripts/myscript.bat mypassword Program Files\Bitnami Wordpress Stack\mysql\bin\mysqldamin.exe —defaults-file= C:\PROGRA ~1\BITNAM ~1\mysql\my.ini -u root —password=mypassword shutdown []C:\PROGRA ~1\BITNAM ~1\mysql\bin\MYSQLA ~1 EXE:connect to server at ‘localhost’ failed error: Access denied for user ’root’@’localhost’ ‘(using password:YES)’ unable to install Apache with name WordpressApache1 I am a beginner, so for now, will adopt your suggestion to install the WAMP stack and add the two modules. Once again, many thanks. |

Topic: General / configuring mysql and apache in second stack Hello. Thank you for providing these excellent, easy to install stacks and great support! I have a local joomla stack installed and running sweetly. I tried to install a separate wordpress stack but got three errors – two from mysql and one from apache. I imagine this is because apache is already bound to port 3360. Is there documentation that can guide me through configuring the wordpress stack mysql and apache so the two stacks can run locally? Many thanks. |
