Topic: MAMPStack / My new joomla hompage and site stops working after restart...

Trying to run and tour my joomla site locally through joomla-1.0.15-3 installed on my system.

Everything ran fine when I first launched the stack after installation. I was able to tour my new joomla homepage easily.

had a smile on my face…then everything changed…

After closing down and restarting my system. I have to go into my terminal and run the ctlscript.sh script again.

match up the host IPs which maybe different and the mysql stops working.

Do I have to re-install the MAMPStack again every time I wish to tour my joomla page… cant be?

because after reinstalling it worked again, but after shut down and restart…no joy!

im on a mac using jaguar osx 10.4.11 power pc g4

please help

Bit of a newbie…

I’ve run the ctlscript.sh in my terminal window and I get this result:

Starting mysqld.bin daemon with databases from /Applications/joomla-1.0.15-3/mysql/data
/Applications/joomla-1.0.15-3/mysql/scripts/ctl.sh : mysql could not be started
Syntax OK

It seems the script is not able to start the mysql on my system why is this?

Having the same problem here…
I dragged the ctlscript.sh file out of Joomla into terminal and typed “start” and got…

-bash: start: command not found

any ideas?
