Topic: WAMPStack / Stack Upgrade Clarification What is the proper way to upgrade the WAMP Stack Plus Wordpress? Can one just safely run the latest installer? Will the installer leave intact all configuration files and documents or will it overwrite and destroy everything that is already there? (i.e configuration files, modified default document files, data, MySQL database, etc.) Does it make more sense to go visit the individual projects: Apache, PHP, MySQL, Wordpress and update manually? Thank you, Jason. |

Topic: WAMPStack / Shared Host IP with Bitnami WAMP Stack and Multiple App Modules. What changes need to be made in the Bitnami WAMP Stack configuration to allow for multiple App Modules to share a single IP and resolve to the external canonical name? If I have two modules installed plus the Bitnami WAMP stack, I have three separate host name header canonical names: bitnami.domain.com, wordpress.domain.com and phpbb.domain.com. Right now, all would display the default Bitnami Web Start Page, and then you would click on the Applications Tab to get to the individual Modules. I want each host name to resolve directly to the correct module. |

Topic: WAMPStack / PHPAdmin / MySQL - Version Issue After installing the WAMP Stack, when loading MyPHPAdmin it states it is a different version the the MySQL version and that this can cause a problem. Why is the WAMP stack not in alignment with its’ component version numbers? Also, when trying to update MyPHPAdmin to the latest version, the non-Bitnami generic install wants to use an entirely different directory install location. Are there instructions on how to update the WAMP Stack with generic open source versions from the individual project sites? |

Topic: Cloud (Amazon AWS & BitNami Cloud Hosting) / Wordpress - Unable to create directory AWS EC2 Wordpress installed properly by following the NEW AMI Tutorial in Amazon EC2 When trying to IMPORT an existing Wordpress XML file get following error: Before you can upload your import file, you will need to fix the following error: Unable to create directory /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/2009/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server? How do I fix this? And, if I need to use SSH to modify some Linux Parameter, I have had zero success in figuring out how to use a Windows PC and Putty to reference the Private Key .pem file to securely connect to the Bitnami Linux Instance. |

Topic: WAMPStack / PHP MySQL library differs from MySQL server version Just installed WAMPStack, launched PHPAdmin and immediately received warning: Your PHP MySQL library version 5.0.51a differs from your MySQL server version 5.1.30. This may cause unpredictable behavior. Can someone explain: a) Why did BitNami not match the versions in the latest build? b) What is the best way to update the PHPAdmin and MySQL Versions to match? Thank you, Jason. |
